Divorce from the Point of View of a Man
The society is totally biased and prejudiced towards men when it comes to divorce. Most of the people think that men are the ones who cheat on their spouses and break the hearts of their wives. This is just nothing but prejudice. Aren’t there women who cheat on their husbands? Men have emotions too and a recent finding says that 25% of the men don’t even know that their spouse is considering divorce. The mindset and thought process of men is totally different from that of women. British Columbia Divorce rate is rising day by day. Many people are becoming single once again. Peace of mind and happiness are vital to any human being and maintaining the levels of those two qualities is very difficult if one is divorced.
As a young man in his early adulthood stage I’m very much interested in knowing about marriage and how important sex is for a strong conjugal bond. Well, last week I was searching for some news about Sean Penn’s divorce and I suddenly came across an article published in an Indian newspaper. It read “Woman seeks divorce from impotent husband, INR 10 million alimony”. That’s when I realized that sex is an integral part of married life and that one cannot sideline it. Then I proceeded to find if impotence and other such sex related issues have been the reason for divorce in British Columbia.
The recession has hit hard many people’s lives and it has started showing its impact even on divorcees. Or to be exact, people who have filed for a divorce. Getting a divorce in British Columbia is a highly expensive affair in itself. But now it has become much more difficult as half of the world is reeling under the pressure caused by the recession. A news article that appeared a couple of days ago has beautifully illustrated how recession has affected divorce in many cases and in the contrary how it has worked out for a patch up.
